Expand your career options by becoming a Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher.   This training allows you to guide pregnant women through the journey of pregnancy, preparing them physically and mentally for the powerful transition of childbirth.  Also learn to teach postnatal yoga supporting women through their postnatal recovery.

Who Should Attend This Training:
  • Yoga instructors who wish to teach prenatal and postnatal yoga
  • Women wanting to deepen their knowledge of yoga in pregnancy  

Yoga instructors will learn how to safely guide their pregnant students through all three (3) trimesters of a healthy and active prenatal yoga class, as well as address the needs of the postnatal student. Teachers will gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique needs of their pregnant and postnatal yoga practitioners.

  • Stages and phases of labor
  • Common pregnancy discomforts, health concerns, and precautions
  • Pregnancy exercise myths vs facts
  • Keeping pregnant women safe and working with the medical community
  • Understanding the pelvis and pelvic floor muscles as they relate to pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum
  • Fetal position variations
  • Labor Anatomy, understanding labor and childbirth
  • Postnatal precautions
  • Postnatal asana and flow
  • Diastasis recti identification and treatment
  • Assist the lead trainer in prenatal class
  • Prenatal and Postnatal Training Manual
You will receive a Yoga Alliance Approved certificate upon completion of this course! Credits from this training can be applied towards Continuing Education Credits to maintain your status with Yoga Alliance.

Pritpal Singh at Mind to Body Yoga and Fitness is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP’S) which recognizes her as an expert in one or more of Yoga Alliances Educational Categories.

$725.00 + Hst

  • Includes Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training Manual
  • Must sign up by Oct 1, 2019
  • You can apply 35 contact hours and 15 non-contact hours towards continuing educational credits with Yoga Alliance.
  • Payment plan: 2 payments of $375 + Hst due Oct 1 and Nov 1, 2019
  • Terms and Conditions:  Refund issued 14 days before training begins (minus $200 + hst non refundable deposit).  No refund possible after training starts.  Credit can be applied towards future training's with Mind to Body.

The mind to body yoga teacher training program was a life changing experience. Not only were we taught the foundations of yoga practice, we were also given the opportunity to form relationships with a variety of yogis. If I could give Mind to Body more than 5 stars I would! Since starting at this studio 6 months ago, all my aches and pains have been eliminated. That's due to yoga but more so thanks to the personable, caring, passionate and dedicated instructors. It's a blessing to have found a yoga studio where each class by any instructor here is taught with so much passion and bring their own experiences and way of teaching, teaching the right techniques and foundations of poses (grounding feet and hands) alot of others overlook when teaching. They don't ever ever ever make you feel like you have to do a pose they always tell you to follow your body. Love the variety of classes, started with Restorative yoga and now on to hot detox yoga which I didn't ever think I'd do. Mind to body has a great community of employees and members who are always friendly with a huge smile on their faces. It's been so great to connect with other members especially while having the detox tea, yum! Honestly don't know how they keep it so clean with so many members but it's immaculate and shiny. Floors are always swept and mopped constantly. Couldn't have found a more amazing yoga studio, love you guys for all that you do! It's definitely been a life changing process and I'm excited to continue to grow in every way with all of you :).read more

I found this studio six months ago, after having searched for a calm and rejuvenating space for a long time.
