Wellness

What is Wellness?

Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life.

"...a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." - The World Health Organization.

"a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential." - The National Wellness Institute

To live a even higher quality of life, we offer wellness treatments to compliment your consistent practice of yoga and fitness goals.

Registered Massage Therapy (RMT)

Renew balance and energy in your body through therapeutic Registered Massage Therapy.   All our therapists are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and have at least 2200 hours of practical training. The therapist will combine various massage techniques to revive and rejuvenate overworked muscles.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a type of rehabilitation pressure point based massage therapy that deals with the many “reflex points” found in the feet, hands and ears that relate to certain organs and glands in the body. Specific techniques are used by a therapist to stimulate reflex points to promote health and vitality in the organ via the body’s energy pathways. Reflexology wellness is known to be a profoundly relaxing treatment which can be felt throughout the entire body.  Many people fall asleep during this treatment, and everyone is amazed at how light they feel with this treatment.

Holistic Nutrition

Sound nutrition is the cornerstone of good health. Holistic Nutrition is a natural approach to health that uses evidence-based techniques for diet, lifestyle and detoxification. Taking a “holistic” approach to nutrition means instead of focusing on just one aspect of the person, or taking a one size fits all methodology, holistic nutrition evaluates the complete health history, emotional/spiritual state, lifestyle habits, mental health and current diet habits of an individual to determine the root cause of his or her health issues. We also focus on including whole, natural foods that are God made - the foods that nature intended us to eat, not man made.

Good nutrition can improve a number of health conditions including but not limited to:

Ayurvedic Head Massage

The Ayurvedic Head Massage is an ancient Indian healing practice which is as old as 5, 000 years. It is a relaxing holistic treatment found in Ayurveda, the Indian medical system. In Sanskrit, Ayur means life and Veda means knowledge. Ayurveda emphasizes on treating the whole body as a system. Ayurveda recognizes that maintaining balance of the elements in the body and mind is essential for optimal health and the process of finding that balance begins with self-awareness.

Ayurvedic Head Massage involves massage and acupressure techniques manipulating the soft tissues on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. Each step of the process deepens the effect taking you to a higher level of detachment and serenity. This impacts you on not just a physical but also an emotional level.

In Ayurveda, the body is considered the temple, and the head is considered the altar of the temple. Healing the mind directly alleviates the body allowing you to experience an extraordinary healing process.
