How did business name for new Mississauga Yoga studio “Mind to Body” come about?  So what’s stopping you from practicing yoga – is it your body or is it your mind?  Who is putting limits or thinking of reasons not to practice yoga – is it your body or is it your mind?  Your body feels good when it has been bent forward and backward, twisted, and wringed out, sadly it’s your mind that thinks of myriads of reasons not to practice yoga – too tired, no time, other things are priority, other people in my life are priority, children are my priority – I can’t give priority to my practice, I never stick to it.  All these reasons are made up by your mind, not by your body, your body is meant to move, it feels good when it moves.  These days too many people have lower back related issues, which are for the most part related to sedentary jobs and lifestyle.

Your yoga practice is 100% mental, your body won’t go if your mind doesn’t push it!  Your body feels good and energized when it moves.  The more you don’t move, the more tired you are going to feel.  It becomes a vicious circle.  The less you move the more tired your body will feel and your mind will start to feel fuzzy too.  The more you move, the more energized you will feel and your mind will feel strong and clear.

You need to start a program that works for you and then stick to it, whether it’s yoga classes or fitness classes or perhaps dance classes.  If you are unable to do it at home or lack motivation to do it at home, then you need to get out and get into a group environment to move your body.  Mississauga Yoga studios offer a variety of classes you can explore.  You need to figure out what works for you, you then need to be consistent.  Think of it this way, in order to make a certain income level, you need to put in certain number of work hours.  Same principal applies to your yoga practice – you need to put in some time to work your body to make it fit and healthy.  It all starts with convincing your mind, be consistent with your yoga classes and you will see results.  Nothing happens overnight, everything requires work, so does your yoga practice!  It is your responsibility to support your body that supports you!

Lovely knowledgeable teachers. The owner is super nice and gets to know her clients.The facility is clean, had a comfy atmosphere and offers free tea to practitioners, the only dislike I have id that there is Buddah images and statues everywhere and not everyone coming to the studio may not be a Buddhist. It would be nice if the studios itself did not have statues, other than that it is a overall great experience.read more

I did my Yoga Teacher Training at Mind to Body Yoga and it was one of the best decisions I've made. When you walk into the studio you feel a sense of home and community. The studio is beautiful and well kept. The training was in depth and very organized, while at the same time fun! I was in search of a yoga teacher training program and stumbled upon Mind to Body....its become my second home ever since. The yoga teacher training program was very detail oriented and definitely prepared for my yoga journey. They covered a lot of topics like anatomy and basics of ayurveda as well. I continue to attend regular yoga classes there now. They offer many various different types of classes..my favs are the restorative and yin classes. The staff is very inviting and friendly and the studio is very very clean and well maintained. Oh yea...can't forget the complimentary delicious detox tea i have every time i attend a class is a bonus!!read more

The mind to body yoga teacher training program was a life changing experience. If I could give Mind to Body more than 5 stars I would! Since starting at this studio 6 months ago, all my aches and pains have been eliminated. That's due to yoga but more so thanks to the personable, caring, passionate and dedicated instructors. It's a blessing to have found a yoga studio where each class by any instructor here is taught with so much passion and bring their own experiences and way of teaching, teaching the right techniques and foundations of poses (grounding feet and hands) alot of others overlook when teaching. They don't ever ever ever make you feel like you have to do a pose they always tell you to follow your body. Love the variety of classes, started with Restorative yoga and now on to hot detox yoga which I didn't ever think I'd do. Mind to body has a great community of employees and members who are always friendly with a huge smile on their faces. It's been so great to connect with other members especially while having the detox tea, yum! Honestly don't know how they keep it so clean with so many members but it's immaculate and shiny. Floors are always swept and mopped constantly. Couldn't have found a more amazing yoga studio, love you guys for all that you do! I found this studio six months ago, after having searched for a calm and rejuvenating space for a long time.
